I love to live life to the fullest. Travelling, nature, sunshine. I do a lot of cross-fit at the gym, I love meeting new people and I’m always full of energy. I only sleep so I can eat another day.

Tessa loves weddings

It doesn’t matter if you are having a big wedding or a small intimate one. In a fancy location, or low-key and informal. I love weddings of all shapes and sizes. Every wedding is a celebration of life and love, together with your family and friends, and there is something magical about every wedding. For me, it’s so rewarding to capture that magic and to add to it a little bit with with my photos.

From top-level athlete to wedding photographer

From top-level athlete to wedding photographer I used to be a successful skier and now I’m a wedding photographer. This might seem like quite a contrast, but there are many similarities. Sport is also full of emotions – although in a different way to weddings.

For many years, I was a successful skier with the Dutch alpine skiing team, and I would spend about 26 weeks of the year in Austria. I enjoyed that time of my life so much, and it made me who I am today, and influences the way I approach things. I’m still a perfectionist and, I’ll admit, I’m still pretty competitive.
